Am I missing something (to do with wheel nuts)

Featured Replies

I have got standard 17" vRS spiders and think perhaps I am missing a tool from my spare wheel well tool kit.

The wheel nut covers at the moment have to be removed with pliers but my question is would the tool in this link normally come with the vRS:

Cannot find this anywhere in the kit but I do have this tool already in the kit:

Which tool should I have? Using the pliers isn't good due to scratching the wheel.

The second tool you have that looks like a wire ring is for Octavias with alloy wheels that have a large plastic cover in the centre covering the wheel bolts, you hook it into a little hole in the cover and use it to pull the cover off.

I never knew what this was for, does it fit the Vrs alloys?

No, I think that type is for the larger caps that cover the whole centre of the wheel as well as the nuts.

On the vRS you can use the tool to pull out the plastic cover over the hub, although you will need to peel up the edge of the Skoda badge sticker to get to one of the holes you need to insert the wire tool into.

:Yikes: I think i would rather take the wheel off and pop it out.
