Hi Guys!

Guys and Gals of course.:o

Just thought I'd say Hi.

I don't have a Skoda at the minute, but my plan is to by an Octavia, 2006 or 2007 model diesel within a month or two at the most.

Any thoughts on what is the best engine to get?

and trim level for the years?

I do quite a lot of miles, maybe 25k a year, and will need a bluetooth system installed.

I currently have a Parrot ck3100, but I think I'll leave that in my current car.

Any advise or suggestions, please, I'm all ears!

Cheers

I don't think you can go wrong with a 2 litre Elegance model. Some extras over the Ambience model:-

Cruise control

Reverse parking sensors

Auto dimming rear view mirror

Plenty quick enough.

If you want top spec, get the L&K. Has leather interior, electric seats and Maxidot to name a few.

Hi and thank you all for your suggestions and your welcome.

OK, 2litre Elegance it is then!

These seem to be a bit thin on the ground in my neck of the woods, I know the 1.9 105bhp is 35bhp less than the 2 litre, is that very noticeable in normal use or is the 2 litre just a better engine?

Cheers all

Hi there. I'm new to the forum as well but i just thought id try and answer your question.

I went for the 1.9 TDi Elegance (estate) over the 2.0 TDi

Test driving both i couldn't see much difference in motorway cruising speeds between either of them and the 1.9 still had plenty of go at 75mph + although i would have liked to haved had the 6th gear!

Ill be covering over 30k a year as well and the 1.9 is cheaper tax and on paper does more MPG's

Thats just my two pennies though
