VRS suspension on a 1.9 elegance??

Featured Replies

As the title says. Does anyone know if this has been done?

also is there any imperical evidence to say the weight distrubution is identical between a 1.9tdi elegance and a vrs?

any advice would be most helpful

VRS is heavier on the front than the elegance , so the spring rates will be wrong

Is that because of the thicker ARB? Or more? The slightly larger bumper can't make much difference, can it? Or are the engines really that different? I'd always assumed that although not the same engine, they were pretty similar?

The Elegance suspension is probably the same as the VRS as the only extra components are the turbo, I/C and a few accessories, just a few kilos in fact.

Looking at the ride height of both models on factory standard suspension they are similar. Changing to VRS suspension is not worth it for a small gain.

elegance 1.9 PD100 Diesel has an IC and turbo, main difference is the 6 speed gearbox in the VRS
