Front Wishbone Bush

Featured Replies

Need to replace passenger side front wishbone bushes as bit worn.

I will be replacing both sets on the front.

Which is the best replacement type to get?

How much and where is the best place to get such items.

Finally am I right in thinking the following are the correct part numbers for the wishbone:

1J0407181 and 357407182

cheers:thumbup:

I will soon be fitting a set of the new design powerflex ones.

Just checked numbers for a 01 and 05 reg vRS, they are as follows:

1J0 407 181...... Bonded rubber mounting (Rear) (As you quoted)

357 407 182...... Bonded rubber mounting (Front) (As you quoted)

Most people seem to get best results by replacing using the following :-

Audi Rear Bush (Solid construction with no cut/outs) and

Powerflex replacement front ones.

Hi, which are these, Powerflex Front / Rear or the Audi ones?

Cheers

Peter

powerflex :D

I've got the Superpro ones going in a week on Friday, the back ones went in extremely easily.

Thanks for the replies:thumbup:

After doing a search on the rear wishbone bush I have decided to go with the audi solid type bush.

I have picked up some audi tt rear bushes + associated bolts etc from TPS this morning and have ordered some powerflex front bushes from Awesome.

Will have fun fitting these this week along with some zero sixty front discs + pads:D
