Window Wont Come Up

Featured Replies

I had the RAC out because the window would not go up or down.

He could hear the motor moving and suggested it was the 'window seat' - I called skoda this morning and they have no idea what I am talking about

Does anyone know about this ? Apparently it is very common

Finally any idea of how much it will end up costing to replace?

Thanks guys - This site rocks

The window regulator has broken, about £60ish for Skoda for the part. Loads of threads on this problem, some have photo instructions on how to do the job, which is not that diffucult.

Price update... I bought one last week, £75 now,

Job is straight forwards unless your car is 2003 onwards as at this time they started riveting the doors together with absolutely massive rivets that Homebase, B&Q and Wicks don't sell! ;)

You could do what I did and get it all the way to the point of re-riveting and pop round to Skoda and have them do it and then finish the rest of yourself as well.
