I would have put good money on the siren being under the nearside rear wheelarch, but after asking a scrappy (on Ebay) to go hunting for one, no siren unit found under either rear wheelarch.

Did they ever put them in any other places? :confused:

Thanks for the info - I shall pass this on. When you say exhaust manifold, I assume this isn't referring to the one bolted to the engine, but some "join" in the exhaust system part way down the car?

August, 2000, Jason. That wording is straight from the official workshop manual. I guess exhaust manifold = exhaust pipe since it is the bit next to the fuel tank.
