Beads, beads and more beads

Featured Replies

I'm currently in the middle of giving the Fabia a "spring clean" detail.

I'll do a full write-up when I'm finished, but here's a few teaser pics showing the beading this morning....

Very nice. Looks like fine beading, and quite mountaneous too.

Very nice! Product choice proving advantageous then? :D

Did you apply whatever you applied by hand or with a machine of some sort to get such consistent beading? Looks fab! :)

Tight beading! Nice...

Colli?

The reactions shown to that "beading" are comparable to those reactions on certain other sites when a gorgeous woman is on webcam, lol

This is a Skoda forum Steve, most of the members here have been married for about 25 years and are tired of women now, quite content with Sunday drives to a game of golf, anything to get away from women... :D

Nice beading and I bet that water sheets off the paintwork.............

Look forward to the full write-up............

Machine polishing but wax applied by hand

  • 3 weeks later...

Mine isn't quite as impressive as that as there wasn't much water on the car but this is how it looked this morning... the best beading I've ever had anyway!

That looks impressive Phil - what wax have you been using?

Can't remember the brand but its 'liquid hard wax'. I use it because you can just slap it on very quickly and it buffs off to a nice shine very easily.

Phil

Looks nice Phil - good photo

If it's quick liquid wax, is it perhaps one of the Turtle Wax 'ICE' range?? :rubchin: - must say I don't know much about these lazy waxes though ;)

TBH... without looking at the bottle I havn't got a clue!

It came in a big bottle and it's more like a commercial kind of bottle with just a plain label on. Will have a look when I get home. Really impressed with it any way and like I say it's perfect for me as I can never really be bothered so when it takes 5 mins to do the whole car then I'm chuffed!

Took the pic with a Panasonic Lumix TZ5 btw. Quite impreseed myself and have it set as my wallpaper on 17" works laptop which looks pretty impressive!

Phil

Just had a look in the cupboard. It's "Autoglym Liquid hardwax". It very liquidy like water and dries on the cars within seconds and rubs off very easily so I'm happy.

Phil

Sounds good Phil, especially on the 'effort vs. results' analysis :D

very nice beading Andy. I'm not a fan of yellow cars but yours looked great on saturday and has almost changed my opinion of them. Don't tell SWMBO though or she'll go and swap her silver fabby for a yellow one :(
