As mine will be on the TDI sport stand I thought I'd better use all my new found knowledge and break out the Silverline rotary for a session yesterday. Time was tight being fathers day but with a medium white sponge pad and some Merzerna intensive polish it removed 55,000 miles of careful 2BM washing marks :(

So wheels will be taken off before I go on Sunday so wheel arches and the back of the wheels can be done and there is still a few panels to polish but it's great to feel as if everything has been 'reset' and it's all new looking again. The colour difference was a nice surprise ...everything looks deeper!

Mine is still well waxed from a while ago so it's only going to get a wash the night before and that will be that. Should come up OK as it did this weekend on show locally.

Just remember it's cars like your's and Baker21s that got me into this OCD cleaning lark! All I see is swirl marks on other cars I want to polish out.....I'm now dreaming about them too:rolleyes::rotz:

I think that you have done a great job there mate and good work on the rotary, your going to have to pop back to Redditch and show me how it's done..........
