high pressure fuel pump upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi there, can anyone give me any first hand info about the high press fuel pump upgrade, i have a octy 2.0 tfsi with a miltek full system a forge induction kit a stage 2 revo am also looking at a new larger intercooler. The main ques is would the fuel pump upgrade be a wise move cos i dont want to be wasting money. Ive read all the reports from the supliers but i wont somebodies opinion who has actualy fitted one on there own car. What difference does it to do for the performance ? Any info would be greatfully received :D Regards Phil.

you will get a massive increase in torque over stage 2. i believe stage 2 gives results of around 260bhp, 300Ibft torque, whereas with the fuel pump and intercooler withstage 2+ you will be getting 280bhp+, 345Ibft torque, so the difference is vast, almost like standard to stage 1 again

the differences however are in price, if you go for the APR pump, which is above 600 quid, its not a cheap mod, however if you buy the autotech fuel pump internals you will save yourself 400 quid for the same result.

im going for the autotech route myself as i cant justify that extra money

once your car is at stage 2+ you are pretty much at the cars max output without upgrading the turbo. although you could try water methonel injection for a few extra horsepower and torques.

Thanks for your info i think i will go for the kit form as well, do you know if i will have to get my revo re adjusted? i actualy have the revo select plus device so i can go and alter timming, fuel, and boost. any more advice would be great. Regards Phil.

i believe theree is a fuel pump specific remap that will take acount of the pump to the full. but you only have to pay the difference between the stage 2 and stage 2+ remap prices.

as for adjusting the boost levels yourself you might be able to, im not sure, pm makefish or vRStu. they are pretty knowledgable on the revo stuff, alternatively revo has a sub forum in the site sponser section, put a message in there
