Cleaned the wifes Octy VRS

Featured Replies

Took pity on the wife and offered to do her car yesterday, bad move in a way as it was over 80 degrees here yesterday

The car is a workhorse its just ticked over the 50,000 miles mark , up and down the motorway on the daily commute so doesnt get a lot of tlc , plus it had some nasty stone chips that needed urgent attention i'll do more on them on a cooler day

It was last waxed just before easter and has been wearing FK1000p since then so didnt take a lot to clean but it needed a decent polish could have benefitted from a clay as well but i was a bit lazy to be honest

Method was rinse, Snow Foam (BH), Wash with Megs NXT , wheels cleaned with Bilberry , rinsed and dried and put in the garage out of the sun

Machined with the DA and lake white pad with Dodo lime prime, then FK1000p and finally optiseal , wheels polished with Zaio and then optiseal also

Not a lot of progress pics it was just too hot to hang around but here you go

Looks good, how do you find Z-AIO on the wheels?

Nice result, love that colour

Brilliant i am a convert , I use it on all wheels now, my own cars ie my recently sold Skyline and my new Superb both have it on and its been great , i am really surprised how when the wheels look clean the MF with ZAIO still takes off lots of dirt, FK1000p seems to last ages with it as well

I really like Zaio but if i am going to polish the car i much prefer something slightly more abrasive i dont know if Zaino do a version with more abrasives in it

Always open to other solutions though

Very nice :)

Looks good..grass could do with a bit of TLC though :)

I am also converted to Zaino and have been using it a lot on my details of late..............

Not used it on the wheels though and may give it a go at some stage but as far as I am aware the only other possible version would be something like Z-PC as I don't think they do anything with more abrasive's in...........:o

I like Zaino stuff and the results are great but whilst it looks great it doesnt feel as slick as FK1000p and i like the idea of being able just to give the car a wash , q/d and then add another coat of wax , Z2 isnt as easy

Next time i do my car i will use Zaio and then fk1000p as the lsp and see how that feels

Question: your sig says you drive an R33 and a Superb; yet your thread says you have sold them.

What have you got now?? (Or what are you looking for?)
