Due to a stripped thread on the sump bolt I am having to remove the sump to have a helicoil insert fitted. I have removed all of the sump retaining studs, except the two next to the transmission casing, which seem to be deep inside holes. Any ideas how to remove these two studs? Is a special Skoda tool required?

you need a long reach balled ended hex tool, a long allen key can work but is not ideal, think its 5mm (same as the rest of the bolts)

it needs to be ball ended due to the angle of access to the bolts.

alternatively , i have successfully used a 30 TORX 1/4 drive socket on an extension
