My drivers side headlight occasionally does not self level when I turn on the ignition.

Do the motors need any sort of maintenance, lubrication or TLC?

I wouldn't actually know tbh Rob, but have you tried getting someone else to turn the lights on whilst you crouch at the headlight to listen for the motor noise? If you hear it, then the motor may be stuck due to sticky lubricating fluid, and if you cant hear it, then check all connections?
