Dutch Car Satisfaction Trophy - Skoda well up again

Featured Replies

Skoda was again the best European brand by far in the recent Dutch Car Satisfaction Trophy survey held by AutoWeek magazine.

It came in 5th overall, trailing Lexus, Subaru, Toyota and Honda, but beating Mini, BMW and Volvo. Worst off were Volkswagen, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Daewoo and Jeep, i.e. the usual unreliability and crummy-dealership suspects.

In the dealer satisfaction ranks Skoda was one of two Euro brands among Japanese marques, trailing Lexus, Daihatsu and Toyota, but keeping ahead of Honda, Mazda, Jaguar and Subaru. Worst dealer networks were found to be Lancia, Volkswagen, Renault, Peugeot and Jeep.

More Skoda glory in the compact class, with the Fabia actually beating the Yaris and Mini to top position!

The Octavia finished second behind the Impreza in the family class, tying with the Corolla.

Best sales rep mobile was the IS200/300. The 5-series came out as the best executive car. Best MPVs were the Corolla Verso and Avensis Verso, while the Forester scooped SUV honours.

*bump*

Another year gone, more awards to Skoda NL.

Their dealer network now scooped the big prize, being voted best ahead of the above-mentioned Japanese marques. The reason was the giant influx of new Octavia customers discovering the quality of service at Skoda dealerships and voting with their thumbs up.

The Octavia finished second in the family class again, the Fabia dropped to third, but still a great result for such a dated design. In the overall ranking Skoda again were the only European brand in the top five.

Just a few badge bothered Brits to convince now

You are still living in a class society, essentially, aren't you? :D;)

Hi

A few years ago, a British Prime Minister stated he had a vision of a classless Britian. Well his vision has been fulfilled, however, we have specifically got a society with no class.

Re the badge thing, one of my learner puils has cancelled lessons on the basis that he will be in a Skoda next week onwards and that his "mates" are taking the p*ss out of him. The marketing guys have a lot of work to do here. Stll, it keeps the prices down. When a Skoda has the same cred as a VW, the prices will be the same as well. Skodas, just our little secret for now.

I suggest the money for driving lessons be spent on a character development course.

Chris

I hope you told him he would be a spineless loser all his life.

Surely the massive red 'L' on the front and rear of the car are the bit you'd be ashamed of and work toward their removal.
