Just received my latest eBay purchase, namely a set of Paddy Hopkirk 401U roof bars, and have the specific Skoda Fabia Mk1 K19 fitting kit.

Just wanted to get any feedback from anyone else that uses them, as the other footpack that came with them seemed to have white paint embedded on them - I assume from the white van that they were attached hitherto.

My worry is that given their design they may scratch the paintwork of our new pride and joy! Guess I shouldn't have been such a cheap skate and bought a Thule system instead! :eek:

Paddy Hopkirk make the cheapo **** roof bars that we sell in halfords - they build quality is rubbish to say the least - even the part numbers are still the same = Got Thule ones myself direct from Skoda!
