Does Jetta IV Springs fit Octy mk1?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've tried to use search but wasn't able to find a clear answer. So the question is:does Jetta IV springs fit Octavia Lim. ? I'm currently in US and they offer good prices for springs, I want to buy H&R springs, but they know nothing about Skoda =)

I've read here that Skoda's rear part is heavier than Golf's, but is it the same for Jetta? Also, they have Jetta Wagoon which must be heavier.

Any ideas?

My Bora (Jetta MkIV) wasn't as long at the back at the Octy, so the spring rates may be lower.

You might find that the wagon ones are too stiff though.

Does stiffer mean it would be higher?

If they can get H&R springs for the Jetta in the U.S why don't you try to give them the H&R part number for the Octy. They should be able to get them from the part number.

I will try that, thanks!

BTW, on the H&R UK site I've found two types of springs: up to 910 kg from axle weight and over 910 kg. What type should I choose? Engine is 1.8T. t axle weight
