Can I put 18's on a Fabia??

Featured Replies

Hi

I have an 01 Fabia and I have been offered a set of 18" Audi wheels. Will they fit without rubbing and all that behaviour?? What is the max size I can put on my motor??

Thanks

anything will fit as long as you can keep the rolling radius the same so yes 18" wheels will fit with stupidily low tyres.

im running 18" bbs at the moment! tyres are 225 so not very ideal but they still go round lol! they only have about 2mm tread tho so just getting the usage out of them! 205's next! lil bit of stretch :D

I think the real bottom line is that you can do it, but it will be slightly compromised for everyday use unless you get the arches rolled etc.

17" seems to be the sweetspot for those of us who have to use our cars daily.

why would you need the arches rolled?

why would you need the arches rolled?

They are quite a tight fit.

they will be no tighter than 13/14/15/16/17 inch wheels.

i can change my 225/45/17's on my octavia for 215/35/19's and if anything i'll have more clearance, or even 205/30/20 and be the same overall size as my original wheel/tyre combo.

OK, tyres that look like bicycle wheels will fit easily.

but thats what you need for your speedo to be accurate, the rolling radius to stay the same within reason.

jaycar electronics does a kit that's supposed to correct your speedo. Dunno if it'll work with all cars..

Cheers guys that was a whole lot of very useful info!! Does anybody have any 17innch wheels for sale

would love a set of VRS wheels if you know anybody..

I run 18's with no problems - 215x35-18 tyres, bit more tyre noise than 17's but all good....
