Superb Greenline - Opinions sort

Featured Replies

I have also posted this question in the 'Introduce Yourself' section as I am new to this site. So I hope by also posting it in the Superb forum I am not breaking any duplication rules .

Came across this site while looking for reviews on the new Skoda Superb. My current company car (VW Touran 1.9 Diesel ) is up for change in September and I am considering a Skoda Superb Greenline. Having read various threads on these forums i am being 'put off' the Greenline because of the 16" alloys and the possible under power of the 1.9 diesel engine. These seem to be a factors that spoil the car. The reason for me going for the Greenline is to avoid paying too much company car tax. Does anyone actually own a new Superb Greenline ? Do people feel this will still be a good car (bear in mind I have to keep the car for 4 years!)

The other car in the Skoda range I have considered is the new Octavia 1.6TDI CR in Elegance trim rather than Octavia Greenline as you seem to get much more for your money in Elegance for not much worse in MPG and CO2.

I know I should take a test drive in each car but do value real owners opinions so hopefully you good people here can give me some pointers for each car i am considering.

Hi, I am a newbie just bought yesterday a superb 1.9tdi s , my thought exactly underpowered until I drove it I live not far from snowdon so we are very hilly to say the least past exed a altea sport which ain't slow and the power from the superb is better more instant and kept on pulling so not underpowered did try a octavia elegance 140bhp and 1.9tdi same engine as the superb and honestly I am impressed I think.
