Adding front park sensor

Featured Replies

hello guys

i have an Octavia new shape 2009 , Elegance equipped with Rear parking sensors and Bolero radio.

i am asking if it is possible to add front sensors or not ?

, will it appear on the radio screen as the rear sensors ?

, how to connect these sensors ?

thanks in advance

thank you man, but it seems hard to make the connections , am afraid :))))

Sorry NO pics but: -

I bought a set of 'Wireless' parking sensors from EBay, but fitting fully wired ones is no more difficult. Was able to drill and fit the sensors into front bumper without having to take it off - sensors nomally push fit from the front and lock in place. A bit of stiff wire will catch the sensors wires if you can not reach them and you can route them up the side of the radiator..

Routing the switched power was an issue, I have a DSG so was able to route the cables via the clutch blanking rubber - there are a number of threads showing how to route cables into the cabin from behind the glove box.

I mounted the display on top of the center cubbyhole infront of the gear lever, power is taken by plugging into the 12v plug on the centre console, though I am planning to mount a switch into the cubbyhole lid.

Hope this helps, it was not a difficult job and there is no need to take the bumper off, routing the cables and providing a switched power supply just takes a little thought and time but is not beyond anyone with a little practical experience.
