European Light Deflectors, Splitters, and Seat Covers...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Havent been around the forum for a while due to internet issues and unfortunately missed the big Skoda meet @ Gaydon because of work. Although judging by the pics it was an awesome event with a good turnout.

Anyway, I'm off to the Ring this sunday so had a go at DIYing some light deflectors from Tescos. Now having read the brief instructions that came with them, and some of my own, questionable, judgement this is my effort:

Is there anyone who's driven their Fabia on the continent before that can tell me if I've done a good job, or if they're way off please??

Also, because of the trip and a rather careless mechanic during it's last serivice I've removed my Cupra Splitter. Because of this mechanic the thing wasn't the most secure in the world, and after much diliberation I've removed it for the duration of my trip, to have a comeback looking fresh and more secure upon my return.

I can't believe how crappy it looks! BIG fan of the splitter, and I'm really gutted my Ring pictures are gonna be splitter-less.

AND the final thing on this thread's agenda... having grown sick and tired of loosing the battle to keep my WHITE (WHO THE HELL @ SKODA THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA) seats clean I've given in and gone for some seat covers. Wanting to spare no expense I picked up a seat for £4.99 from Tescos. These fitted my Dad's Astra SRi a treat, but things are never quite so easy for me... you see the "universal" fit covers are a little too snug to our Fabia seats... and therefore when installed I've got a little "cushion" of area in the bottom where it doesn't quite sit right (See pics). anyone else experienced this with the tesco covers and any got any quick fix options to solve this? IE Would making a slit in the back to allow the covers to stretch see the entire garment fall to bits?

Anyway that's all from me. Cheers guys.
