twin exhaust.....

Featured Replies

re wheels.

Not really too demanding, plenty members here running Winter Wheels, & tyres.

Sparkly & Sharkrider are not alone.

A fair few vRS have been running lighter alloys.

& there are some on steels.

Very nice a Green or Red can look on White Steels.

So comparison is easy.

Some nice mods were done here, and some Speed was added.

You are talking about something slightly different when you talk about the full exhaust system rather than simply the tail pipe tips.

Rather than a plumber I suggest we may need a musician though (brass band ideal) who could say how the tip will effect exhaust note, does the unusual Milltek design enhance sound at low/mid and full chat compared to the stock tips?

Not sure about the OEM tips (as these can't be detached from the back box unless you cut 'em off) but the Milltek tailpipe assembly has a massive effect on the exhaust note. It actually quietens the exhaust down a hell of a lot. I have driven it around with the tailpipes taken off (I.e just the backbox and a wide-diameter single pipe sticking out from under the bumper -looks like a big bore HKS jap-style system lol) and it sounds absolutely fecking awesome :-) I was contemplating ditching the Milltek twin-pipe tailpiece unit and fitting a generic single pipe exhaust trim but never got round to it and to be honest I don't think the Mrs would have tolerated it that loud for long haha. She often felt a little embarrassed when she was driving around town with the standard Milltek growl lol.
