Xenons were the first thing I ordered. Wouldn't have it any other way now...except when they blow !

I find the light from Xena's give me a headache. I could be a temperature issue but something I will have to look at in the future.

Found out it's on Build Week 33 and due in UK mid to late September.

Now to looking for any other little gizmos for it,

The Pipercross arrived this morning (Thanks Awesome ), so have all the bulbs and boot liner.

All I need now is the car.

I found Xenons took a bit of getting used to. This is the first car I've had them on and I wasn't keen on them the first time I drove it on some country lanes in the dark. Now I'm used to them thogh, I really like them and would order them again.

Dont forget your vRS tax disc holder, seatbelt pads, mats and pen! ebay is your friend.

We've ordered the 1.8 TSi Elegance as well, been told the 1st week of September, a wait of 8 weeks, but no build date given as yet :( When did you order yours for a week 33 build?

Ordered it on June 16th. So I guess it it'll be 12 weeks end-to-end.

Just glad I didn't go for the 1.4 122bhp.

Ordered mine on June 24th and been told build week 33. I'm hoping it will be here and ready for 1st September tho

Be interesting to see what happens. I think i'll give the garage a ring tomorrow and see if they can give me the build week.....they did say they would phone:confused:

Phoned the garage today. Was told the saleswoman we were dealing with left 3 weeks ago to go home to the UK :eek: Must have been our hard bargaining that finished her off

And I was told today that the only bloke that could check the Skoda system was away till monday, so they would check and phone back next week........that's service for you :thumbdwn:

End of September is fine for me. Gives time for me to thrash the Fabia within an inch.

OEMs are fine in my pre-facelift. That said xenons are far superior. I haven't tried the 'Warrior Princess' option but it doesn't sound like that's much cop based on the above :orb_duh:

Nothing wrong with the OEM's as such...

I just find the uprated after-markets give a much cleaner, whiter light.

I've just found out that our Octy will be built in 5 weeks time, which by my calculations is week 38, with a delivery 2 weeks later, so last week in September. That gives us 12 weeks from ordering.

And we will be thrashing the Fabia, it's going back as trade in

2 Weeks seems rather short for build, transportation from factory to showroom, PDI etc. etc.

Yup, just the base Elegance spec. Guess i'll just have to wait and see regards delivery, and keep my fingers crossed. And things always take longer to get to Jersey, as they generally go via the big island!!!

Spoke to the dealer today and been told my car is built and probably going to leave the factory today. It's now in the hands of the transport company......
