do cars have hormones?

Featured Replies

I don't know if its just me, but somedays my car feels more responsive and quicker through the gears than others where it feels tight and sluggish. This seems to happen even when weather, fuel, driving route etc stays the same. Do cars have hormones:confused: I wondered if others have a similar experience and why this might be:confuse:

I'd say yes... my immobilser problem seems to have gone?

 don't think so!!!!

car will run better and be more responsive when induction is taking in cool dry air in preference to warm and damp air. role on winter

Have you washed it recently? Mine's always faster when it's clean :D

+1

definitely much better to drive when its clean (or the air is cold)

Hi ima,

I would agree with you on this as my MK 1 Octy TDi was a very hormonal car and was very weather dependant on performance. The Mk2 i got now is not as bad and is really all go whatever the weather is which is nice :D

Mine is and changes her attitudes during the very same trip.

When cold she's brilliant and I have to tame her not to be too brisk at cold engine and oil.

When hot she tends to be more sluggish and slow to be awakened from her rest at traffic lights (e.g.).

Perhaps it's time to think of some thermal insulation...?

Mine too

Not just performance, but sometimes MPG, even with same driving style on similar (flat) road

Of course she is!!! I've always driven good (or bad) girls :)

Ah, BTW, even a quasi-girlfriend spot this attitude of mine...
