Would these fit my Fabia?

Featured Replies

Anything will fit with adaptors buddy !

But they do look in pretty bad nick judging by those pics, a refurb wouldnt go a miss.

If I were you i'd hold out for some minters because once you put the price of rubber on top of them.

aye I've been looking at a few sets, and none have been in the best nick, and a refurb ontop of rubber isn't what I would be wanting to do!

Akz - A refurb wouldnt be dead money (providing you didnt mash them), they'll hold they're money if they're refurbished to a top standard!

How much would you say a refurb would be, a would say at the very least £200 but becuase there split rims they'd probably be more. then 4 half decent 18" tyres to go on them, with the cost for the wheels and adaptors.

Doesny take long to add up lol

the 8" wide ones will be fine with 25mm adaptors on the rear, 20mm on the front.

the 10" wide ones wont fit without really ****ing up your back arches.

i run 6J on the front and 8J on the back, i had to downsize adaptors so stop my arches rubbing, you could maybe get away with a 9J on the rear but i think it may rub and i certainly wouldnt even try a 10J on.

actually what size are the wheels??

my recommendations are based on a 16" wheel, 18's would likely pose more problems unless it sat higher.

Good idea to stay away from 10J then (by the way 10J is just 10inches isn't it?)

If I get adaptors will I need spacers?

The wheels are 18"'s

i would stay away from 10J and yeah thats just inches wide.

the adaptors are spacers aswell, as i say, i have 20mm adaptors on the front, any wider and i'd be fouling my front arches (if your cars not so low this may not be an issue).

used to run 35mm on the rear with an 8J wheel but it rubbed the arches so much that the paint burned off so i downsized to 25mm adaptors and i get no problems at all now.

KTP a met you at Irvine cruise about a month or so ago, you stopped me on the road, dont know if you'll remember my car?

Thanks for the advice, I'll be keeping away for 10J ones, don't know if I'll be able to get these GT3 alloys in a smaller width

cars looking real nice KTP

Does look alot better with the splitter too! Sorry this is off topic!

yeah i remember, i'd had a beer or several at the cruise

when i decided to get the D90's i had no idea about what would fit or not, more so on the adaptor side of things as i knew the 8J wheel wouldnt be a problem, i tried to get advice on here but no one could really help out.

i cant speak for an 18" wheel as clearly that will make things more awkward, i chose to stick to the original tyre size for the fabia and wouldnt go any wider than 8J, you could probably get away with a 9J but will stick out a good bit more and maybe give too much stretch on the tyre, i certainly wouldnt increase the tyre width or go any wider than a 25mm adaptor.

keep hunting around, i've been looking at many new sets of prosche wheels since i first got mine and there are plenty of 8's out there.

also check out the classifieds on Edition38 as people sell sets that will fit and also adaptors come up almost daily (not always the right ones tho).
