hi folks, i've read through pages of old threads about using mk4 golf gti rear springs to slam the back end of a pickup, now i've done a quick ebay search and it appears that the rear springs are not specific to the gti model, they fit 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 etc (except the special edition ones which are lower from the factory obviously). can somebody who has done this spring swap please clear this up for me?

I cant make sense of it either mate, some guys are saying you need Mk4 golf lowering springs (40mm), not standard mk springs.

if some one who has done it could clear it up once and for all...

I should have never asked... you serious though ? lol I'm on the lookout for a soultion which does not involve buying a set of 4 and only using the fronts. waste of money!
