Hi all,

Mods feel free to to move if not in the right area.

I've been toying with the idea of changing my ariel on the Fabia for a few months now (have done them on my last few cars) and found this one in Halfords last night, I hummed and hawed of it if I should buy it last night and decided againest it.

Just wondered what people's opinions were if I should go for it, I think it looks quite good and goes well with the project name (Project Wasp) I gave the car when I got it, this would be my last mod to the car.

What do you think?

Richbrook Anti Theft Black Sabre Aerial from Halfords Price £16.99

Can't say I'm a fan, looks a bit like your car has a semi lol.

If it truly is anti theft proof then it would be worth it- Personal experiance with these is they aint actually and are as nickable as the normal one- just more expensive- personally id say just get a shorter one- e.g s2000 style.

And these can damage the screw (well mine did when it was nicked) for it on the roof

Thats one of the things which puts me off the fact it could be stolen and I can think of a place where I park a couple of times a week where it could get pinched, I had forgotten about the S2000 ariel.

the reason its theft proof is because it looks horrid! i say no.

I think I have made my mind up, think I'm just going to keep the original ariel and maybe have a look on ebay for a S2000 one.
