ECU Custom Tuned Remap File - KWP Byteshooter Galleto + on eBay (end time 13-Aug-09 14:48:02 BST)

personally i wouldnt have it as i know nothing about transfering ecu data ect, but some might!

Well I wouldnt trust it for the following reasons:

-no previous buyers of the files in his history (there all headphones??)

-he/she could be a cowboy

-you have no comeback if anything should go wrong

-no power gains mentioned

-not really that cheep considering he will have no overheads...

Kill your car for £125? Sounds like a bargain....

Definetly dodgy same as mentioned above also:

why wouldnt it work in your 'mates' car? if they were both the same then surely it should work on both cars the only thing being is that you would probably get different performance gains except in this case where you would be down 125 quid and your mate would be taking the pi$$ out of you for being daft.

"Would you trust a random file written by some unknown person which more than likely is not even the correct file. This can destroy your ECU!!!!!"

As the sentences "this can destroy your ECU!!!!!" followed a full stop, this is a statement and could be his get out of jail card, as he will say that he warned the buyer, problem is the way you read it makes you think it is related to the previous sentence..... DODGY.

Stay clear and save your cash for a remap (only an extra £100!!)

Tells you all you need to know I'd suggest.

I have just read that thread.......... the guy from custom tuning, what a compleate spanner. It is bad enougth having bad feedback from a customer, but then making a compleat **** of yourself on a forum like this

WOW that is all i got to say.....

oh and on topic..... things like file remaps i would stay away from

He'd never get off on that. There isn't a judge in the land who'd say "Yes, the seller quite clearly states that his programme will destroy your ECU."

But…

Couldn't agree more. The seller really is appealing to idiots. Look at his previous sells on flea-bay. He sounds like he was just a bloke selling stuff from his shed, and suddenly he's an ECU programmer

Power gains? 180 bhp to SFA bhp
