Hi,

I was travelling from cheshire to North Yorkshire the other week in the fellas Octy 1.9 TDi and I was on the M62 about to reach to highest point on the pennines when the pipe on the intercooler came off... I was not flogging the car hard or anything and it had happened last year too!

It appears that the connections on the intercooler are not very good and its a common problem??? anyone else have this problem???

My mechanic has managed to make some connections for it and it all seems to be sterdy now... just wondering if I am alone in this problem?

So far so good with mine.The dealer has just replaced the seal on the top IC pipe above the drivebelt as its drenched the drivebelt and pulleys in oil and need to be cleaned.

Not read anything on here though about pipes popping off especially on the MK2 Octy :confused: Some have had this on the Fabia VRS though but not the same engine.
