Hi all just took the plunge and bought a skoda felicia 1.9d estate 1999

Just done a service as in oil air and fuel filter, the fuel filter was a pig as i couldnt get it started once changed and managed to kill the battery couldnt find a plunger to prime the diesel like most diesels ive owned so had to manually fill the new filter and pipes and this sorted it.

Needs a few bits doing brake pads and discs which i am doing today its got a hole in the cat which i have patched for now but could do with a new front downpipe really, and the front anti roll bar bushes are perished and cracking so hopefully get them sorted today as well.

Its got a rusty scab on rear drivers wheel arch which needs sorting but not urgent.

Impressed with the economy so far 10p a mile running costs

Cheers

Yup still costs me 40p each way  over the rickety wooden bridge that feels like its gonna give way if we need to head out knaresbrough-harrogate- boroughbridge way mate sometimes cheaper to go to york shopping.

Simbo unfortunatly it exists and its hardly like crossing the humber bridge is it?:D

When you cross it he gives you a ticket with a serial number on it, i checked the numbers last time i went shopping over at lidl knaresbrough it took about an hour when i got the tiicket on the way back about an hour later if that there was a difference of 94 so if we say aprox 100 cars per hour daytime at 40p per time hes on a good earner hes got there!

Welcome :D

But its free on my motorbike so tend to use that when i just need a few bits and put stuff in top box :D

I've heard of this bridge before but never knew where it was and certainly didn't realise it was that close to me.

He certainly is onto a winner with that one!

Oh... and welcome! As you can see I'm just down the road in York.

That bridge is no fun when your camping on the field right at the side of it at the Scout activity centre and Aldwalk.

Every time a car comes over during the night it wakes you up. I spend a week there last year.

Yes often wondered what it would be like camping so close to the rickety bridge hope you enjoyed it apart from the noise on the night time.
