Hello everyone

Featured Replies

Hiya,

I am Martin and I currently rent (cannot afford a new one) a Skoda Octavia L&K 2009 model (brand new - well, a week old to be precise). Had a Fabia 3 before and my wife has a Fabia Ambiante.

My id is from the times when I had a Ford Granada Scorpio Cosworth MKIII 2.935L Auto post-face. That thing was 14 years old when I sold it and I miss it terribly. Unfortunately, there is nothing on the market as good as the ol' Granada, so the very best that I could get was the Octavia. Would be a load better with Rear-wheel drive, north-south engine, viscous fan, LSD, etc, etc, but oh well, I cannot have everything.

The Octavia is an incredible car - very powerful, smooth, no end of toys - 7-speed DSG gearbox, etc, etc. if you are in a position to get one, do it. It may only have a 1.8L engine, but it beats my Granada to 60mph by almost a full second.

Anyone else out there got an Octavia 2009 L&K model in the UK?

If so, any idea how to change the second speedometer from km/h to mph?

Also, is there supposed to be heated rear-seats? The manual says that there is, but they are not on my car...

Many thanks,

Martin
