Facia help

Featured Replies

H guys, just ordered my stereo and wanted to check the facia. Skoda quoted me £3 for facia or £15 for complete installation pack

Anyone gone for either? Just want to make sure I order the correct one

Thanks

Did post this in the ice section but thought it would get more traffic here as I wanted to sort getting the facia ordered today. Mods hope you dont mind

All you want is the facia as the full fitting kit comes with the pocket that sits under the radio and the two vertical side bits - as long as your car still has them of course.

Have just spoken to another dealer and he calls it a blanking plate. Now I can see why that would only be £3 as I guess its just a slither of plastic.

Has anyone bought this, just want to make it fits properly or if I need to get the installation kit which is £15

edit* Just had the call back and it clips in. Newbury also want £3.45 + VAT and Reading just told me £3  Will call Reading back and double check the price and order it I think. Dont suppose I need the installation kit for the parts and bracket as all car stereos come with the bracket

Cheers Phil, will get that ordered then. Yea my car still has the cubby hole :D

Be glad when I get to know this car more, feel like all I do is asking questions. 5 years of Honda ownership as given me tunnel vision, lol

Also my ebay airel and autoleads bits have arrived  Only paid £4 for the harness adaptor too, well chuffed. God knows what the extra blue wire is for on the ariel adaptor. I guess once I get the radio out I will know more (ignore that, found a spare power line). I really should have more faith in myself. I did loads of electrical bits on the Civic but worried as I dont know the Skoda at all but it looks easier than the Civic was.

Just need to sort some plastic tools to take the passenger vent out as it has one damaged fin
