Removing inner door skin in order to apply sound deadening

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I came across this fantastic guide http://briskoda.net/technical-guides/removing-ancillaries-carrier/133384/

I just wanted to quickly ask whether it's possible to remove the inner door skin but leave the window carrier where it is...In the second pic following the taping up of the windows in that guide, the window regulator is still in place. Can it just be left there so I can sound deaden the outer skins? If so, is the procedure I need to follow any different to the one outlined in the guide?

Any help appreciated.

Ash :)

The skin and regulator are as one.
