Before & after (even I can tell the difference)

Featured Replies

Right, well I'm not exactly what you'd call a keen detailer.

In fact washing isn't really my thing & polishing well erm, no thanks,

I think I'll just pop out for a 3 hour drive instead! :D

However, sometimes, you just know that your car needs a bit of TLC

(mainly as people in the street stop & stare & point at the car)

Hope you're sitting down

Even in a busy supermarket, no-one dares to park near it ...

Stage 1 was a free jet wash done by my local dealer, I'd gone to have a quick look at the Yeti & they felt sorry for my car.

Stage 2 Shell drivers card to gently chisel the biggest lumps off (yes really)

Stage 3 the two bucket method with those dreadlock things rather than sponges

Stage 4 a repeat of stage 3

Stage 5 a repeat of stage 4

Stage 6 dried it

Stage 7 ran out of time, drove it for a couple of days

Stage 8 2 bucket method, dried it, then Auto Glym Super Resin Polish

Stage 9 a repeat of Stage 7

Stage 10 rinsed it, dried it, Auto Glym Ultra Deep Shine

Stage 11 a repeat of stage 7

Stage 12 rinsed it, dried it, Turtlewax easy on easy off Wax

In hindsight this one really needed to be a video as the wind was blowing the beads down the bonnet

98999 miles... sure you can get that to 100K by the end of the day!!

There's a red Fiesta on our road covered in the same colour & same consistency of mud splatters! Wonder if they were at the same festival??? Admire your efforts Darren but Morrisons car wash does a cracking job for £6.50 ...i'm not into this manual labour lark! :D

Well have another look at stages 7, 9 & 11

Darren

Isn't that the old shed/disused airfield they used to drive out to in The Sweeney and The Professionals and have a car chase.

I can just picture one of these coming round the corner any second with a load of Rozzers piling out of Black Marias

That reminds me of ...

The Police Drugs squad are worried by recent developments that have seen MDMA tablets

(methylene dioxymethamphetamine: an amphetamine derivative, C11H15NO2, that reduces inhibitions and that was used in psychotherapy until it was banned in the U.S. in 1985)

more commonly referred to as Ecstasy being taken by liquidised and injected into the mouth below the teeth.

A spokesman said, "We've been receiving reports that 'E by gum' is widespread in the Yorkshire area"

erm anyway, cars, lets get out there & clean them again

You finally cleaned it then????
