Wow, they want £1250 for lowered suspension and small remap, that's a £1000 more than I'm paying with More Than :eek:

If you cancelled I dont think you would lose all your no claims, only the current year - new insurer would just ask for evidence of your NCB, then all you would have to do is show them your renewal/welcome pack from more than which will show your NCB on it.

My MoreThan price has gone up a bit this time. They're wanting £408 with no mods. Now, true, I could do quidco again to get £60 back reducing it to £348, but I need to get better cover with my mods declared.

Chris Knott have quoted me £325 for the same level of cover as MoreThan and ~£412 with remap.

Skyinsurance quoted £420 with remap and other mods. I think I'm going to go with these guys as they were much nicer to deal with on the phone than Chris Knott. I'll definitely go with them if they'll match the Chris Knott price.

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly

Mid-way through a holiday in France and the Infotainment gremlins are back… SOS call fail, parking distance fail and manoeuvre assist fail, coupled with infotainment system booting, lasting about 30s, freezing and rebooting. SOS light on red and multiple warnings on dash. Car is coming up to 2 years old and has had repeated software issues. Could really use some help from someone who has had this issue and can stop the endless reboots !!!

Hi all fabia Monte Carlo received car with no history, but completed checks using VCDS engine was healthy except 2 sec rattle cold start. I want to change my tensioner because I believe it’s failing to hold tension due to the 2 sec rattle on cold start which immediately ceases and also fails to reoccur when turning on car a second time, or if it’s only been stood a short while. Hi good people! I just updated my car to SW 332 (came with 330). I have Superb combi 2023 Style, but it has Columbus (bigger) MIB3 infotainment. First I wanted to update maps, as it was V25.5. So, I've downloaded 26.2 (latest from https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/), added it to the USB-A stick, but nothing happened, no notification. Left the stick inside and in the meantime got trial for Infotainment online package. Now it's saying map version 26.6 (despite online showing 26.2), so what happ

I have previously commented on lane assist being a problem but this morning it came very close to causing an accident. I was following a friend and neighbour on the first part of our respective journeys to work. The road is subject to a 60mph limit. I was doing just on 40. He turns right and pulls into the right turn lane provided so there is plenty of room to pass on the nearside. Hi all, I have an issue with my 2005 Octavia I was hoping to get some assistance with. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a strange, intermittent issue with the electric windows on the car. If I get in and start the ignition, the radio doesn’t show the time in the centre at the top, I know my electric windows won’t work. As soon as the clock is displayed the windows work again.
