VRS Foglamps.

Featured Replies

Just Taken delivery of a pair of brand new foglamps from Jorily for my Fabia, I tried to start this thread in "Ask a tech" but for some reason the site woudn't let me???

I have purchased the complete fittings? Are they easy to fit? Or a complete sod??

I haven't even had an investigative look at the old ones yet, but 1 of them is cracked and I thought I'd be better off buying a pair. Its the OCD you see.... :D

How long approx to fit them in your opinions folks? And are there any guides on here to break the job down into stages? Also, I'd like some nice blue bulbs for them... Any recommendations?

aha I have the same problem I cracked one of my lamps, the lamp has just arrived today, according to the haynes manual it won't take long! Haynes lied you have to take the bumper off the car to access the fog light.

I'm to see somebody about getting this done for me soon.

Only on the vRS do you need to take the bumper off to replace the foglamps, to be fair. All other models, you can do it in situ...

Anyway, to remove the bumper:

Undo the three trim clips along the bottom of the bumper. Depending on the age of your car, these will either have a metal pin that needs to be pulled out or a plastic one that needs to be pushed in.

Next, remove the torx screws, also from along the bottom of the bumper (two each side, if memory serves.)

Then, remove the four torx screws from the forward edge of each wheel arch, before pulling each side away from the wing. This will take a bit of brute force, but the bumper's very tough!

Finally, remove the two torx screws holding the bumper onto the chassis. You will need to raise the bonnet to get to these.

Lower the bumper onto the ground carefully, and disconnect any wires that are taut. Screw and unclip the old lamp unit, keeping the metal plate thingy if your replacement doesn't have one (mine didn't). Install the

These freaking fog lamps could cause a marital in my once happy home...

Mrs Grr has high hopes for me getting some work done in our hall this weekend,

It looks like a building site at the moment.... And has for a while to be fair...

I want to fit my fog lamps however and I anticipate some friction...

Now I have a handy step by step guide, Thanks again APOGEE...

I feel much less daunted by the task.... I can see a diffference of opinion looming in the happy home mind you.. So if this is my last post, clearly she must have overpowered me somehow....

:D

Davy if you see this in time, P/N 6H0 941 700 A

grr666, There's a fairly good chance these wont fit! If they're pattern parts.

Before you pull the bumper off, Take the foglight surround off and compare the existing lamp with the new one, Paying particular attention to the mounting points they should be horizontal not vertical

Sorry looks like you'll be doing the hall!

While were on this subject....

How easy is it for retro fit some fog lamps to a '51 Fabia that didnt have them from factory? Fabia Comfort petrol by the way

Just the standard bumper so would need to know about the lights themselves, wiring and fitting the on/off switch in the dash. Is the wiring present behind a blank somewhere on the dash?

Or is it way too much of a ballache to be worth it?
