FSI Vrs Service Cost

Featured Replies

Hello

Been quoted £170 plus Vat at independent and £230 plus Vat at Franchise for 80k service on a 2006 Vrs.

Wonder if these figures sound ok to others?

Thanks

Ask the dealer to match the Indy's price!

Yep it's a little known gem that VAG now operate a policy of matching local quotes so long as genuine parts are used and that the full service routine is carried out.

Many thanks

Didn't know that. Will give it a try although the local Skoda dealer does seem to be quite expensive for everything!

Thanks

Just sent my request to the local dealer asking them to price match the independent. It even says they will on their website but I'm not holding my breath.

Let's see what happens!

Thanks

Big thanks for the suggestion.

They do price match and a service that would have cost arounf £270 will now cost around £195!

A good result and it means I keep a full skoda history in the service book

Great info to know..thanks sweeney and stu

ps..anybody know of one in newcastle/northumberland area ?

Ideal.

I always prefer to see a franchised dealer history in the book. It often helps with warranty claims and claims for goodwill.
