Can anybody make sense of this....

Just been quoted a renewal of nearly £350 for my MK1 Octavia VRS Estate - Not suprised by this.:(

Have just brought a 59 facelift VRS estate and have been quoted £190! :thumbup:

Why is the new car (which is worth in excess of £20K) with a bigger engine (2.0 TFSI as opposed to 1.8T) so much cheaper to insure?

I'd double check that £190 quote never heard of anyone paying that low for a gp 15 car

More secure, cheaper to replace parts, good accident record for the car. Can be a myriad of different things.

One thing I guess would be the readily availability of spare parts for the Mk2.5 as oppsed to the Mk1.

What excess are you paying on a £191 quote?
