Hello to all,

My name is Gavin Stevens. I live in West Sussex with my wife & two children.

I've joined this forum as I have today become the proud owner of a 1992 Favorit LS. This is my fourth Skoda & it feels good to have one again after a break of 8 years.

The car I have bought is in pretty good condition, although there a couple of problems that will need investigating. I will post separately about those.

I drove the Favorit nearly 150 miles from where I collected it back to my home on the Sussex coast & it cruised along very nicely.

I look forward to enjoying my membership of BRISKODA.

I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration. I have done an Upgrade in mine and in the future i will make another one modification so let's take everything from the beginning. Note: Some photos are from internet

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

One of the scourges of Greek roads are abandoned motorcycles. Some they have suffered major damage and are not being repaired, some because owners have abandoned them because they no longer want them, other they are stolen, etc. The process to be removed from the from the State takes from 3 months to 3 years.
