i have just fitted a set of hid lights to a seat leon, they work fine when ignition is on, but different story when you start the car, these are the same kit i fitted to my vrs, and they work fine,

however on the seat, they work for 10seconds then turn off, i think this is part of the thing that tests the voltage, can this be turned off with vag com

Bulb failure warning can be coded out in the instrument code, but I doubt it's this system which is causing the problem.

If it's the current shape Leon then you'll more than likely need a kit which is designed to run with the more sensitive wiring system it uses.

problem was with the hid kit its self, faultly i only ever fitted ones that are canbus compatible they give very little bother, so i changed the boxes and they working 100 now
