Bora alloys on 03 Octavia

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a 2003 Octavia 1.4 Ambiente and it has the original rims(not alloy).

A friend of mine has a 2004 VW Bora 2.0 TDI and he's trading it in but offered me the alloys for my car. Before I take them from him I'd like to know for sure that they will fit.

I've done some research and found the following details:

Make : Skoda Model : Octavia 97> Year : 97> PCD : 5x100 Offset : 30 to 45 Bore : 57.1 Fittings : B 12x1.5

Make : Volkswagen Model : Bora Year : 98> PCD : 5x100 Offset : 30 to 45 Bore : 57.1 Fittings : B 14x1.5

As you can see everything looks the same except the last bit "Fittings". Is this a show stopper? What does it mean?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Rgds,

Are you sure it's a 2.0TDi? The 2.0TDi only came in the Jetta which is 5x112 stud pattern.

If you are sure that it's a Bora and not a Jetta, then you should be fine.

thanks for the fast reply shark_90.

I'm not 100% sure on the engine size but it's a Bora for sure.

Can you educate me on what the significance of the "fittings" measurements please?

yeah bora alloys will fit as will audi tt alloys aslong as its pcd 100.

philly

I don't know about the lasst number , but can confirm that Bora alloys will go on a Mk1 Octavia just fine.

No idea what the "fittings" number means either.

Why not try offering up one of the Bora wheels, and checking the bolts go in ok? In which context, if you're swapping wheels and tyres, check the rolling radius is the same, and swap all the wheel bolts!
