My 1.8Turbo Octavia automatic is fine except reversing after hot starts when it stutters or jerks.

Only does all this in reverse, never forward gear.

Any ideas?

Thanks but ATF is never changed on these - they are sealed for life.

Just because there is no car manufacturer's recommendation for an ATF change interval, doesn't mean that the fluid lasts forever. For example (because I know where they source boxes), there is no service schedule interval quoted by PSA for "their" autos. However, ZF Transmissions, who actually supply PSA with auto boxes, recommend changing ATF every 50_000 miles, and I know several people who've resolved this sort of issue by changing ATF.
