1.9 Tdi (105) In black (all over)(when it's clean)(it's not at the moment i've just got back from Scotland again)

I've one 1.4tdi level 3, and eleven 1.2 petrols level 1 (plus a 1.9tdi level 3 in pieces if that counts)

1.9 chuggy wuggy oil burner in Mrs Stigs Ferbi

The petrol 1.4/85 -- now the mileage is into 4 fignures it's loosened up and has a bit more verve to it; but really I now wish I'd sported a bit more and got the 1.6/105.

I see the diesels get top spot; I drove a diesel Fabia, of about the same age, as a courtesy car for a few days last month -- and while it wasn't as obtrusive as in the bad old days, I didn't take to the engine noise level (and my wife -- who'd only ever been in petrol-engined cars before -- commented on it quite unprompted the first time she sat in it).

Hello All

This a great response to this poll, all thoseso far participated I thank you very much :D

It seems the diesels and the 1.2 engines are the kings of the furby mk2.... keep the votes comming in more the votes are more acurate veiw of te percentile of engines out there.

Diesels are noisey, but if you're doing lots of miles then they are worth the noise :D

Keep it cmming in guys and gals :D

Hello All

Hope you all are well. The response to date is fantastic, however I still think there are more mk2 owners out there, please don't be shyguys, stick your mark on the poll and take part in a study that will give us a picture of the engines people like in the Fabia Mk2 :D

Thanks

Timelord

I bought the Tdi 80 level 2 basically for the £35 road tax. I' ve been driving diesel cars now for over 20 years since the bad old days when a lot of places didn't have diesel pumps on the forecourt.

Well it is a good engine.... only reason I trade up on my 1.4TDi Mk1 was coz I wanted a more nippy engine, and because I wanted a Mk2 Fabia 1.9TDi in Black and on the level 3 trim, and 1 thing I have learned, when you see something you want, don't let it slip through your fingers :D

Another 1.2 12v owner here, got my car a couple of days ago, check out the "ultimate fabia" thread for pictures!

We've now have 2 1.2 6v HTP. :)

I know some of you will think it's a tiddly little engine, not worthy of the car but it's alright. I've gone from a 1.6 Mk1 Focus (100bhp) Zetec and it's quieter than the focus at 60-70. The steering isn't as sharp as the focus though and I don't think you can chuck it into corners like one either.
