DX Head Unit Aux input

Featured Replies

Just installed a Dension Gateway 100 iPod hookup to the DX Stereo/nav unit in my Superb. All working very nicely :D

In doing so, I noticed the aux input is a 10-pin din socket. I interested in playing video through this to the nav screen (media player, TV or whatevever)

Any pointers on where I can get a cable for this?

I guess some kind of composite video (RGB+LR) to 10 pin din connector is in order, but can't seem to find one in the usual places - eBay, Maplins etc

The Dension came with an iPod to DIN cable, which looked perfect, but had some extra blob in the plug which made connection impossible.

Do I need the full 10 pins, or would a 5 pin din work OK? I'm unlear if the pin mappings are standardised, or dependent on application/manufacturer.

Any help or pointers very welcome.
