Skoda Wipers or Bosch AERO?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

What do you all think Skoda Wipers or Bosch AERO ones? Found the Bosch ones on ebay for £21 all in, is that a good deal or better off going to the dealer? Or are the Bosch ones much good vs Skoda ones?

James.

I'm 99.9% sure I have bosch aero on my vrs that are supplied by skoda!

Pick up the phone and ask the dealer....

Do a search, there are several threads about wipers. As I recall you can get rubbers only from VW dealers for about a fiver

Yes I did! But the last time did replacement rubbers for last car really messed it up, and had to buy new ones.

But I thought would given them a go as cheap but the local VW calms they never heard of those part numbers....:( And no other VW outfit near by. So new ones are needed. Hence the post.

James.

I was under the impression that the OE ones were Valeo XTRM's

I've just fitted the Bosch version and they are superb.

VALEO silenx are the best perfoming i've found from wiperblades.co.uk

:)

I had the bosch ones on my ST and they were superb.

Whatever you do, don't but Halfrauds own ones, as I needed wipers for

my Octavia asap, so stopped in at halfrauds and bought some. They

do a better job than the ones on the car when I got it, but they so flimsy

and squeek like hell !

Just gone out a taken a tape to mine (still on oem):

Drivers: 600

Passenger: 480

And a logo of VWAG with some part numbers on

Bosch AERO etc are passenger are 475, so 5mm shorter than OEM. By the way Mr Dealer is £32 for VWAG ones! so those on ebay for £21 i guess aren't bad.

I know Never ever buy anything made for or by Halfrauds!

James.

I put Bosch Aero wipers on my Fabia and I recommend them.

Are the Bosch or Valeo ones silicone? Silicone ones are supposed to be longer lasting and less resistant to ice build up (come winter that is!)
