Pls Help Engine Mounting Skoda Superb

Featured Replies

I have a 03 Skoda Superb 2.5 TDI. There is a creek noise whenever i move the car in the first gear and change the second gear. It comes once and when ever i accelerate the car it makes the creek noise again. It's not a massive noise but it can be clearly heard.

I have done all the front suspension work changed all the arms and links ( 450 Pounds) and the mechanics are convinced that everything looks ok in the suspension.

I have taken my car to a new mechanic and he believes that it is a Engine mount which is making the noise. The car has done 120 K miles and i have just bought it.

I have rang skoda garage and the guys says that it is not bound to failure and he has never ordered one for this model. I am not convinced that it is definitely the engine mount.

Any idea's or suggestions please. This noise is driving me nuts.

PLEASE HELP..

Hmmmmmmmmm I'm gonna guess that it's an anti rollbar bush, or both of them? Does the creaking reduce when it's wet?

Have done these on two of my Skodas, Fabia's right one went at 140K and then the left 10K afterwards, Octavia vRS needed them at half that mileage

May be worth double checking with your mechanic that he replaced these

Do you get the same noise with the clutch held in as you go over speed bumps slowly? If you do then I'd say it's definitely not an engine mount, and the anti rollbar bushes would be a sensible thing to look into (not expensive to replace)

Check the drivers seat, wiggle around on it and see if it sounds.

Thanks for the reply. I have changed the anti rollbar bush on both sides.
