new guy, new car, help please

Featured Replies

Hi guys i have an 03 octavia vrs, its done 120k fdsh 1 owner, well looked after car ect..

my questions are:

1. after its been idleing for a few minutes there is a clicking noise from the charcole canister (is that what its called?) is this normal or is the soleniod broken/on its way out??

2. once warmed up sometimes the idle is a bit lumpy, i can watch the revs go up and down a tiny bit and the engine has a little wobble, i have changed the spark plugs and its still the same, any ideas? could it be relation to problem 1.

3. i plan to remap the car very soon, does anything need changing such as the re-circ valve ect?

does anyone have any experiance with a company called more-bhp? if so are they any good?

cheers guys

Q1 = dont know abouts this

Q2= could be a coil pack breaking down/ could be just a dirty throttlebody/ or a small vacuum leak.!!!!

Q3= it is avisable to uprate the diverter valve due to the increase in boost. i havent heard much about that company but im sure a few on here have used them use the search tool.

hope that helps

Completely normal. It can get pretty loud even.
