Infinity 6502i, straight fit into Octy?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Did a search and the Infinity 652's seem to be a good coice to fit into the Octavia front doors but I can only find 6502i's on sale now.

Anyone know if these are the new model and if they will fit straight into the front doors.

If not can anyone recommend current model speakers that are straight fit.

Cheers

Just found a thread that says they won't fit. :(

So what current speakers will fit?

If you visit www.letsbuycaraudio.com they have 6002i and 6502i at

You don't need to cut the plugs off the ends, have a look on Autoleads site for adaptors, if you change cars just pop the original speakers back in no need for crmping/soldering of terminals. They're cheap too.

if i can get a set alpine type R to fit then any 6.5" speaker will fit...if you dont know the type r's have MAHOOSIVE magnets almost as big as the front of the speaker and they are a good 1 1/2" deeper then the oem speakers...i had to do a bit of bashing...is worth it tho

Where do I get these adaptors then?

The autoleads website seems a bit hard to navigate.

Alpine SXE-1750s fit :)

But note the Alpine SXS-1757s don't, despite what Alpine say. Custom fit my a^$e, I'll give them f^&king custom fit!

I fitted Infinity 652i straight in with no problems, however, if you are hoping for a massive difference in sound quality, you might just be disappointed. There have been a few questions on here about improving the sound quality in an Octy and it appears that the front speakers is not the greatest place to start. It improved the clarity for me but didn't create any more real oomph if you know what I mean. Have you already changed the HU etc.

Where do you get the plug adaptors that fit into the skoda speaker plugs and give you wire to fix to the speaker then?
