Thermostat Or Temp Sender.?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My felicia 1.3mpi 1998 stutters on startup occasionaly

and the temp guage sticks to the bottom, unless it has been stood idling for a while,

Ive read several threads similar to this and have come across two items that should be checked.

Skoda Felicia 1.3 Mpi Thermostat-MK2 VERSION !!!! (jorily)

and

Skoda Felicia 1.3Mpi/1.6 Thermostat Temperature Sensor (jorily)

Any ideas how i would check each of these or if you have any other suggestions.. please.

Cheers

Andy

It's the thermostat by the sounds of things - seem to be a weak point on Felicias. Think the problem is that it's stuck open, letting the engine be cooled all the time - why your temp guage doesnt rise much unless it's sitting idling

i would agree with your sentiments.i had the same problem on mine got a new thermostat which was £50 from skoda dealer .thought it was a bit dear but then realised it was complete housing and thermostat. hope this helps:thumbup:
