Just registered and depending on your comments, hope to be around here for a very long time!!

I'm a 42 year-old ex Vauxhall technician (83-98) who (pre-family) spent the 80s in Fords (Xrs) & the 90s in modded Vauxhalls..

Recently had Fiat Seicentos as my second car & my latest model (red Schumacher) is due to go into storage until my eldest son is old enough to drive it..

..when, I source & restore something interesting..

For an age I've been chasing a Fiat 127 Sport (without much luck)..

A chance conversation at work the other day led me to this site and after looking over some of the pictures, I'm hooked..

I now like the idea of a 136 Rapid..

I had a fair bit of Skoda exprience in the mid/late 80s so I'm not totally oblivious..

What do you guys think?

Rapid v Fiat 127?

I'm liking the Skoda route the more I think about it...

Firstly welcome to the site..... Im 42 as well with similar background although did my time with Fords mid eighties both working at a main dealer and looking after the old "Mike Smith" Trackstar Cossies, then onto Rovers, Audis then Peugeots..Currently MOT testing for an independent.

Choice of car, why not, go for it....theres plenty of helpful people on here if you need them

After a bit more deliberating today, I think I'm 99.9% in favour of the Skoda!

So it looks like you'll have to put up with a lot of questions over the coming months!!
