On my MK2 Octavia 2006 Elegance when the ignition is off it tells me the total mileage of the car and once the ignition is on it then says the trip mileage but sometimes the total mileage stays on

Is there a way to choise what one you want on while driving?

Just briefly press the trip reset button.

no way to change this behaviour, it defaults to trip with engine running. as posted in the previous post a quick press of the trip reset will switch back to total mileage.

if you had maxidot, then you have both at the same time.
