Looking to get one off eBay. If my model year matches what the seller says will any one do or are they more specific?

Also what's it like as a DIY fit - I seem to remember being told it's a bit of a job as it's difficult to get at. How long should a garage take to fit it?

I honestly would not buy a safety critical component off e-bay. Job takes about 1.5 hours at a dealer.

Mmmm, well the Ministry of Transport don't seem to think it's that critical.

The car is being sold due to it being a money-sucking monster so it either goes on to the next "lucky" owner with an airbag light on or with it off and a used airbag ECU - having just spent £575 on it I want to minimise how much more I spend before offloading.

So, are the ECUs the same? Anyone got an EPC they can look at for me please?
